Yes!

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

The second and last game for today finally looked good. The first half was chaotic like before. At halftime we decided to force roles on the robots instead of calculating them with the role assignment.
With that we were able to win the game against ISePorto with 0:3.
One step closer to Robocup German Open 2008 champion!

Today’s Game

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Today’s game was much better than the last one. We won 4:0 against PaderKickers.
It was not perfect but no robot stopped working completely.
We still have problems when there are too many of our players on the field. The new static communication-middleware was a huge success and made this game possible. Since it is static it [...]

Yesterday’s Game

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

We had our first game yesterday, CoPS vs. Carpe Noctem. It started late because of the usual delays at 19:15. The first half was not so bad even though we noticed very strange behavior of our robots. The first half ended 0:2 for us.
We tried to find the problem why our robots acted strange and [...]

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Our webcam of the MSL-Field is online now and can be watched here.
Edit:
The Hannover-Messe router of our hall has severe load issues. If the image is not updated the router is most likely down again.

German Open 2008

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Long time has gone since the last post and this is the first post from the German Open Open 2008 in Hannover. The last two days were quite stressful and an emotional roller coaster. Nothing was really finished or working, a camera stopped working, and the motion of one of our robots stroke a light.
Nevertheless, [...]

Software Release 2006

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006

The software framework that powered our robots in 2006 is now available for download as a tarball:
http://carpenoctem.das-lab.net/pub/CarpeNoctem-2006.tar.gz.
The subversion repository where cleanups will go can be found here:
http://svn.npw.net/cnpublic/
Unfortunately, documentation is scarce and we failed to clean up the code. So good luck for digging into potentially unreadable code :). It is released under a BSD-like license [...]

This was Bremen 2006

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006

We’ve arrived in Kassel yesterday at about 9pm. After unloading our baggage and the robots everybody went straight home. It was a very exciting, interesting but also exhausting week. We’ve achieved something we would have never anticipated. The cooperation within the team was very good and the comments from other teams were really motivating.
In the [...]
