We’ve lost our last game against CoPS Stuttgart with 2:5. It was a great game, six CoPS against four Carpe Noctem Robots and one Ulm Sparrow. We’ve improved a lot in the last hours. After annoying ourselves with stupid networking problems, fighting against lightning and calibration issues, this game showed what we can do.
Our goalie, which was trained by Kai, performed extremely good and defeated many scoring chances. Without this little nifty mops this would not have been possible :)
The behaviors for the other players were tuned by Daniel, Roland, and Kai and performed very, very well. We sometimes even dribbled though the defense line of our opponent. Here I think the simple path planner I’ve created also contributed a bit :)
All team members did very well during setup and testing. Christof, Stefan, Till, Michael and Dani perfectly cared for our players. Thomas did the medical part. Every time a player was hurt or lost parts of his body he cared about its well-being. He furthermore cares about everything else all the others of us are too lazy for. Without his support we could not have attended this RoboCup tournament!
Last but not least we all would like to thank the Precision Engineering Workshop of Kassel University. They did a great, really great job. We would never have been able or even creative enough to build such a great vehicle. Thanks from all of us!
Well… ok. That’s it for now. We will place some new pictures in the gallery … some day :)
